Orlando Intensive Moved to March 2009

I’ve got a very important and time-sensitive update for you today. That is, the Orlando Intensive has been moved from November 2008 to March 2009.

Why?

Because I’m an idiot. Basically, we scheduled the November Intensive early in 2008 and forgot to check the dates to see if there were any scheduling conflicts.

Turns out, the first day of the Intensive would have been on the same day that Daylight Savings goes into effect. Translation: Lots of sleepy option traders!

As if that wasn’t bad enough, the third day of the Intensive would have fallen on the same day as… Election Day! And as much as I’m sure you’re into option trading, I’ve got to think this year’s election would be a big distraction for most folks.

In fact, I just heard through the grapevine that another event was happening this week. And instead of socializing in the hotel restaurant on Tuesday night, they were all watching the Presidential debates in the lobby. Go figure.

Trust me, it wasn’t easy to make this decision. I would have preferred to continue with the Intensive as planned. But I simply had to face the facts: Daylight Savings combined with Election Day is reason enough to move the dates.

Of course, with the holidays in late November and December, the earliest we could reschedule was March 2009. We’re currently picking the exact dates as we speak. And don’t worry — they won’t fall on any major holiday.

Thanks for understanding.

Best regards always,

A.J. Brown
